It’s a parade of idiots, conspiracy theorists, the immoral and the unqualified.

Not one of these nominees or any of the others are good choices for their nominated positions.  Not one is a safe choice.  Not one is morally equipped to hold the position.

Right now, we need to be calling, emailing, letter-writing, posting, doing whatever we can do to let our representatives know that we are NOT ok with them voting to confirm these clowns.

I don’t have high hopes of them not getting confirmed however, because the orange turnip has packed both houses with his sycophants and followers.  So what happens if they get confirmed?  What can we do then?

I’m not an expert.  I’m not an activist.  I’m one person hosting a small community group that works to keep the fight going.

What I am is someone who reads and follows people who know more than I do.  There are some great ones out there that I highly recommend looking into.

I am a huge fan of People Power United.  They are on Substack and also on the web.  They offer a large variety of resources, newsletter articles and suggested ways to take action both now and in the future to keep fighting.

I also follow the Meidas + Network on Substack and on YouTube.  My absolute favorite of their posts are the “Today in Politics” post that comes out on Substack daily.  In it Ron (the head of the organization) lists in easy, readable paragraphs as many of the things that have gone on that day as he can.  While I won’t say it’s a stress-free way to close out your day, it is informative and I try not to miss it when it comes out each evening. 

I read Robert Reich’s Substack.  I realize not everyone is a fan of his.  He made some grave errors backing NAFTA, which he himself has said did not get executed as intended, and was therefore a disaster.  He has a good handle on what is happening, although I think he is more certain in some cases than I that “we the people” will stand up and do the right thing.  I hope he’s right and I’m just cynical.
